1. Introduction

SavinS LLC, a Missouri limited liability company doing business as “FixNeighbor” (“FixNeighbor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the FixNeighbor website at https://fixneighbor.com, our mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

This Policy applies to both Clients (property owners requesting services) and Pro Masters (professionals offering services), as well as visitors to the Platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect several categories of information to operate and improve the Platform.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account Information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, password, and account type (Client or Pro). For Pros, we also collect business name, service categories, service area, and similar profile data.

Pro Credentials. Pros provide license numbers, insurance details, business registration documents, certifications, and other professional credentials. We may verify these directly or through third-party services.

Property and Service Details. Clients provide property addresses, descriptions of work needed, photographs, scheduling preferences, and other details necessary to match them with appropriate Pros.

Payment Information. When you make or receive payments, our payment processor collects payment card details, bank account information, billing address, and tax identification information (for Pros). FixNeighbor does not store full payment card numbers on its own servers.

Communications. We collect the content of messages exchanged through the Platform between Clients, Pros, and FixNeighbor support, as well as any feedback, reviews, or support requests you submit.

Identity Verification. In some cases we may collect government-issued identification documents to verify identity, particularly for Pros.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device and Usage Data. When you access the Platform, we automatically collect information such as IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, language preferences, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent, and click activity.

Location Data. With your permission, we may collect precise location data from your device. We also infer approximate location from IP address. Location data helps us match Clients with Pros in the appropriate service area.

Cookies and Similar Technologies. We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, and analyze usage. See Section 8 for details.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

Background Check and Verification Providers. For Pros, we may receive license verification, insurance verification, and background check results from third-party providers.

Payment Processors. Our payment processor (such as Stripe) may share transaction status, fraud signals, and payout information with us.

Analytics and Marketing Partners. We may receive aggregated information about Platform usage and marketing performance from analytics and advertising providers.

Public Sources. We may collect information about Pros from public licensing databases or business registries to maintain accurate listings.

3. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

  • To operate the Platform — create and maintain accounts, match Clients with Pros, facilitate communications, and process service requests.
  • To process payments — manage escrow, calculate and collect success fees, issue payouts, and address chargebacks or refunds.

  • To improve the Platform — analyze usage trends, debug issues, develop new features, and enhance user experience.
  • To send marketing — share newsletters, promotions, and product updates, where permitted by law and subject to your preferences.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse — detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions, security incidents, and violations of our Terms.
  • To comply with legal obligations — respond to lawful requests, enforce our agreements, and comply with tax, accounting, and reporting requirements.
  • To enforce our Terms — investigate violations and take appropriate action.

4. Legal Bases (for users in jurisdictions that require this disclosure)

Where required by law, we process personal information based on:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide services you request.
  • Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Platform.
  • Consent — for optional features such as marketing emails or precise location collection. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws.

5. How We Share Information

FixNeighbor does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We share information in the following circumstances:

5.1 Between Clients and Pros

To facilitate services, we share necessary information between Clients and Pros. For example, when a Client submits a job, we share the property address, scope of work, photos, and contact details with the matched Pro. Clients receive the Pro's name, business information, license and insurance status, ratings, and contact details.

We share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, including:

  • Payment processors and escrow providers;
  • Cloud hosting and storage providers;
  • Background check and identity verification services;
  • Analytics, customer support, and communication tools;
  • Marketing and email service providers.

These providers are bound by contractual obligations to use information only for the purposes we specify and to protect it appropriately.

5.3 For Legal and Safety Reasons

5.6 Aggregated and De-Identified Data

We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for any purpose, including market analysis, research, and reporting.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:

  • Account information is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter.
  • Transaction and tax records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting laws (typically up to seven years).
  • Communication records related to disputes or claims are retained until the matter is fully resolved and any applicable statute of limitations has expired.
  • De-identified or aggregated data may be retained indefinitely.

You may request deletion of your information as described in Section 9.

7. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encryption in transit, access controls, and routine security reviews.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not responsible for any unauthorized access that occurs despite our reasonable efforts. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in;
  • Remember your preferences;
