1. Program

FixNeighbor Job Messages lets homeowners and service pros use FixNeighbor by text message at (816) 816-4844: describe a repair and send photos to create a request, receive messages from your homeowner or pro, reply to them, and get updates about your jobs (for example, “a pro accepted your request” or “new job near you”) and verification codes.

2. How you opt in

You can opt in to FixNeighbor text messages in any of these ways:

  1. Website settings. Sign in at fixneighbor.com, open Settings → Text messages (or the “Get updates by text?” card under your request), enter your mobile number, check the consent box, and confirm the 6-digit code we text you.
  2. Sign-up form. When you sign up or sign in with your phone number at fixneighbor.com, or sign up as a pro, you check a consent box next to the consent text before we send any message other than your verification code.
  3. By phone, then confirmed by text. If you call FixNeighbor and we file a request for you, our team member reads you this script: “Can we text you updates about this request — messages from your pro and job status? Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out anytime. Our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy are at fixneighbor.com/legal. Would you like text updates — yes or no?” If you say yes, we send one text asking you to reply YES. We send nothing else until you reply YES.
  4. You text us first. If you text (816) 816-4844 to ask for help with a repair, we reply only about that request (questions about the job, account verification, messages from your pro and job status). Our first reply identifies FixNeighbor and includes HELP/STOP instructions and the “Msg & data rates may apply” notice.

For every opt-in we record the wording you agreed to, your phone number, the date and time, and how you opted in. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. We do not send marketing or promotional messages.

3. Frequency and cost

Message frequency varies with your activity (typically a few messages per job). Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.

4. Opt out and help

Reply STOP at any time to stop all text messages; you’ll receive one confirmation and no further messages. Reply START to resume. You can also turn texts off in Settings. Reply HELP for help, or contact support@fixneighbor.com.

5. Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported on major US carriers.

6. Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
